Description

Define and architect optical transceiver modules (1.6T and beyond) to match product requirements.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design high-speed PCB schematics for power, control, and signal interfaces.
• Guide layout engineers to meet mechanical, signal integrity, and thermal constraints.
• Lead technical validation, bring-up, and performance optimization of optical transceivers.
• Support design validation, qualification, and root-cause analysis through production ramp.
• Automate transceiver performance testing using Python, C++, or LabVIEW.

Required Skills

• 10+ years in optical transceiver design, fiber optics, RF modulation, and networking systems.
• Hands-on experience with PCB schematic design and layout review for optical modules.
• Experience with high-speed opto-electrical system design, including DSPs and microcontroller interfaces.
• Familiarity with MSA and IEEE standards (QSFP, OSFP, CMIS).
• Proficiency in testing metrics: TDECQ, receiver sensitivity, stressed eye measurements.
• Experience with DSP configuration and FIR equalization optimization for PAM4/NRZ signaling.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
