Description

You will administer and maintain large-scale Oracle database environments across dev, test, and production.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle databases (12c, 19c, and newer).
• Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, and patch management.
• Optimize performance via query tuning, indexing, and resource management.
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies using RMAN, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.
• Manage user access, roles, and database security policies.

Required Skills

• 10+ years in Oracle database administration with 15+ years overall IT experience.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and OEM Cloud Control.
• Expertise in performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and database architecture principles.
• Solid understanding of Unix/Linux environments, including scripting.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or AWS RDS for Oracle.
• Experience with Oracle DBA, Security, and Access management.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with DevOps tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform) for database automation.
• Exposure to data warehousing and ETL processes.
