Description

You will manage, optimize, and migrate complex Oracle database environments across on-premise and AWS cloud infrastructures.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle instances, including Oracle Net Services and schema design.
• Develop and execute backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, with regular testing of procedures.
• Monitor performance using AWR and ASH to tune SQL queries and optimize indexing strategies.
• Manage database migrations from Oracle to PostgreSQL, including complexity analysis and validation.
• Implement disaster recovery using Oracle Data Guard and manage GoldenGate replications.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience with Oracle Database administration and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Proven ability to migrate databases from Oracle to PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with RMAN, Oracle Data Guard, and GoldenGate.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server.
• Experience managing AWS Cloud services including EC2, RDS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, CloudFormation, IAM, and S3.
• Knowledge of AWS Config, Autoscaling, and CloudFront.
• Deep understanding of Oracle licensing models, including Named User Plus and Processor licenses.

Preferred Skills

• Experience handling Oracle licensing transitions between Enterprise and Standard editions.
• Ability to prepare for and manage database audits.
