Own the stability, availability, and performance of Oracle databases in 24x7 production environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage Oracle 19c+ databases, ensuring high availability via RAC and Data Guard.
• Execute proactive monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning using SQL, AWR, ASH, and execution plans.
• Perform database patching, upgrades, and maintenance while minimizing downtime.
• Manage backup and recovery using RMAN and validate disaster recovery readiness.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, drive root cause analysis, and automate routine tasks.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Oracle DBA and enterprise database operations.
• Deep expertise in RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and RMAN.
• Strong performance tuning skills using SQL, AWR, ASH, and execution plans.
• Hands-on scripting and automation with Shell, Python, or Ansible.
• Fundamental Linux/Unix administration skills.
• Experience with cloud-based database environments on Azure and GCP.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to cloud migrations and hybrid architectures.
• Familiarity with Postgres or MySQL environments.
• Experience with monitoring tools like OEM, Prometheus, and Grafana.
