Description

You will own the stability, performance, and migration of Oracle database environments, with a primary focus on moving on-premises systems to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and tune Oracle Exadata systems for optimal performance.
• Lead the end-to-end migration of on-premises Oracle databases to OCI.
• Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and Data Guard.
• Execute database patching, upgrades, and security hardening procedures.
• Develop automation scripts for routine tasks and maintain configuration documentation.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle database administration.
• Deep knowledge of Oracle Exadata architecture and administration.
• Proven experience migrating Oracle databases to OCI.
• Proficiency in Oracle Database versions 11g, 12c, 19c, and later.
• Expertise in Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, and OEM.
• Advanced performance tuning and optimization skills.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.
• Experience with PL/SQL development and debugging.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM).
