Description

Manage day-to-day production and non-production database operations to ensure environment stability.

24x7 on-call rotation required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor database systems and manage space administration at the database and operating system levels.
• Execute performance tuning, patching, database refreshes, and backup and recovery procedures.
• Troubleshoot database system issues autonomously or alongside multiple teams to resolve disruptions.
• Solicit and formalize requirements through direct communication with end users and customers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience supporting databases larger than 20TB.
• Expertise with Oracle 19c or above, including RAC, RMAN, Active Data Guard, GoldenGate, and GDS.
• Proficiency with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Experience supporting both OLTP and Data Warehouse environments.
• Experience with EDB Postgres, both on-premises and in the cloud.
• Scripting proficiency in Bash, Ksh, PowerShell, or Python.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or comparable experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MongoDB Atlas and backup tools like Data Domain or Rubrik.
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies and the insurance or healthcare industries.
