Description

You will own the full lifecycle of Oracle Database environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security for enterprise systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Database environments (11g/12c/19c+).
• Manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN to ensure data integrity.
• Implement and maintain high availability solutions including RAC and Data Guard.
• Perform database tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
• Handle patching, upgrades, migrations, and automation of routine tasks via shell scripting.

Required Skills

• 6–10+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments.
• Deep expertise in Oracle Database Administration, installation, and configuration.
• Strong proficiency in performance tuning, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of Oracle security best practices and user access control.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and provide 24/7 support when required.

Preferred Skills

• Oracle certifications (OCP, OCM) and experience with cloud platforms (Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) and monitoring tools (OEM, Nagios).
