Description

You will own the maintenance, security, and performance of critical Oracle databases and applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular system tuning, performance monitoring, maintenance, and backups to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform root cause analysis for database and performance incidents.
• Manage database connectivity, user accounts, and capacity planning.
• Resolve distributed data or replication issues and act as a technical expert for Oracle Applications.
• Collaborate with Oracle Support and research new technology solutions.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience supporting database systems.
• 8+ years of experience with database administration in cloud environments.
• Proficiency with Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of SQL best practices.
• In-depth knowledge of database and query-tuning techniques.
• AWS certification.
• PostgreSQL certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an Associate degree with relevant work experience.
