Description

You will own the administration, monitoring, and optimization of Oracle databases across production and non-production environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Implement, administer, and manage assigned application databases to ensure stability and availability.
• Maintain strict data integrity and security standards across all environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex SQL and PL/SQL issues on Solaris and Linux systems.
• Develop automation tools using SQL, PL/SQL, and Linux shell scripts to support large test and development environments.
• Apply best practices when creating DDL, DML, and shell scripts for database operations.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience implementing and managing Oracle 11c and 19c databases.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL, including advanced DDL and DML operations.
• Experience analyzing and resolving complex performance and stability issues in development and production databases.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle native tools, specifically Oracle SQL Developer.
• Experience using Erwin Modeling tool for creating data models, including star schemas.
• Working knowledge of Linux and Solaris operating systems.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and collaboration within development teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience leading performance tuning initiatives and advising developers on optimization strategies.
• Expertise using Explain Plan to determine and implement optimal execution plans.
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle internal views, architecture, tablespace consolidation, DBMS reorg, and partition/index analysis.
