Description

Manage and optimize large-scale Oracle database environments on Unix-based platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage backup, recovery, application patching, cloning, and maintenance for Oracle 10g, 11g, and 12c environments.
• Lead and support database upgrade activities for Oracle 10g or greater.
• Analyze Oracle resource utilization during SQL execution and resolve performance issues using AWR, Explain plan, or Grid control.
• Troubleshoot and trace data-related issues throughout the architecture.
• Maintain high-quality documentation and follow formal enterprise procedures for escalation and outage resolution.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience with Oracle technologies including RAC, ASM, partitioning, security, and memory management.
• 7+ years of experience with Linux, Solaris, and other Unix flavors.
• 7+ years of experience in performance tuning, SQL tuning, and statistics gathering.
• 5+ years of experience managing databases ranging from 1TB to 30TB.
• 5+ years of experience leading Oracle upgrade activities.
• 3+ years of experience with CA Unicenter Autosys.
• 2+ years of experience with Golden Gate or Shareplex replication.
• 2+ years of experience with Transparent Data Encryption (TDE).
• Proficiency in Unix scripting.

Preferred Skills

• BS/BA degree or higher in Information Technology or any graduate degree.
