Senior Oracle DBA

You will own the design, maintenance, and performance tuning of Oracle databases in an enterprise environment. You manage the full lifecycle of database objects, from schema design to patching and upgrades. You ensure high availability through robust backup, restore, and disaster recovery solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design schemas, access patterns, and locking strategies while tuning database performance.
• Modify database structures and create or update existing database objects per application requirements.
• Configure, monitor, and manage cache for Oracle database servers.
• Plan and allocate system storage, including future capacity requirements.
• Participate in on-call rotations and weekend work to support production systems.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience with Oracle Databases in enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for code authoring and optimization.
• Experience with Oracle on AWS and Linux platforms.
• Understanding of Exadata hardware and software components, including storage cells, InfiniBand, and Smart Scan.
• Experience managing storage with Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM).
• Strong shell scripting skills for automation and maintenance.
• Ability to design and implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery services.

Preferred Skills

• 3+ years configuring and monitoring cache management.
• 3+ years experience in installing, upgrading, and patching database software.
