Description

You will manage and optimize Oracle database environments on AWS RDS, focusing on performance tuning and replication stability.

Responsibilities

• Tune database processes to resolve performance bottlenecks across CPU, IO, memory, and network.
• Analyze session wait events to identify and resolve root causes of system issues.
• Generate and interpret AWR, ASH, V$ views, and SQL tracing for real-time monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Optimize SQL code performance through index management, hints, and table reorganizations.
• Implement table partitioning, statistics collection, and data archiving strategies.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience working with Oracle databases.
• Proven experience managing Oracle databases on AWS RDS instances.
• Expertise in Oracle GoldenGate (GG) configuration, resyncing replicated tables, and troubleshooting synchronization issues.
• Deep understanding of SQL tuning, including execution plans and statistics.
• Proficiency with Oracle tuning tools such as AWR, ASH, and V$ views.
• Strong ability to identify system bottlenecks in CPU, IO, memory, and network.
• Experience with table partitioning and archiving partitioned/non-partitioned tables.
