Description

You will manage and maintain large-scale Oracle database environments for government retirement and benefits systems.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Execute Oracle database upgrades and migrations to the latest supported versions.
• Manage and support databases exceeding 10 TB in size.
• Implement auditing facilities and manage RMAN backups to disk or other mediums.
• Maintain database availability using Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and ASM.
• Develop technical documentation including standards, best practices, and procedures.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience as a Database Administrator on Oracle 12c or higher.
• 5+ years of experience supporting Oracle databases on Red Hat Linux 7.x or higher.
• 5+ years of experience with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) version 12c or higher.
• 5+ years of experience using ASM (Automatic Storage Management).
• 5+ years of experience with Oracle Tuning Pack, Diagnostics Pack, Change Management Pack, and AWR.
• 5+ years of experience writing and tuning PL/SQL objects and Unix shell scripting.
• 5+ years of experience supporting databases via replication, materialized views, and triggers.
• 4+ years of experience supporting Oracle databases in VMWare and Cohesity environments.
• Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft (Financials).
• Oracle DBA 11g or higher Certified Professional certification.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in government retirement and benefits contexts.
