Description

You will design and modify detailed Outside Plant (OSP) drawings using CAD and QGIS tools based on field engineering inputs.

Responsibilities

• Create and update conduit and cable engineering design drawings in AutoCAD from field notes and site surveys.
• Develop high-level designs to support manufacturing operations and product quality.
• Verify drawing plots against project inputs for accuracy and conformance to industry standards.
• Collaborate with engineers on model accuracy, design integrity, and industry-standard drafting.
• Assist in the planning and analysis of new outside plant network structures and facilities.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of related experience in the telecom industry.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and GIS layering.
• Expertise in running line, conduit, and cable design for fiber optics, including manholes, hand holes, and poles.
• Experience with aerial and underground utility design and existing utility layouts (water, sewer, electric, gas).
• Ability to read blueprints, conduit prints, and floor plans.
• Experience creating permit drawings and applications for municipalities and agencies.
• Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with QGIS.
• Knowledge of GPON and Corning Flexnap products.
