Description

Lead end-to-end payroll processing to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant outcomes across all reporting cycles.

Manage complex reporting procedures, provide expert guidance on regulatory frameworks, and coordinate with auditors to implement transparency measures.

Responsibilities

  • Execute full-cycle payroll activities, including end-of-month, end-of-financial year, and FBT year procedures.
  • Perform payroll deduction reconciliations for superannuation, payroll tax, PAYG tax, and workers compensation.
  • Provide expert advice to stakeholders on payroll acts, awards, Enterprise Agreements, and HR policies.
  • Coach and mentor payroll staff, monitoring their work for accuracy within the payroll system.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to implement audit outcomes and ensure compliance.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in payroll processing and management.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of Chris21 or a similar payroll system.
  • Deep understanding of awards, Enterprise Agreements, HR, and payroll governance.
  • Knowledge of FBT, workers compensation, superannuation, and payroll tax legislation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong data entry skills.
  • High attention to detail and exceptional oral and written communication skills.
