Description

You will own performance engineering for J2EE and cloud-based applications, ensuring stability and scalability across the stack.

Responsibilities

• Analyze performance requirements and translate them into actionable test strategies.
• Design, script, and execute performance tests using LoadRunner, WebLoad, or JMeter.
• Analyze test results to identify bottlenecks and drive resolution with development teams.
• Debug application and database issues using SQL and monitoring tools to pinpoint root causes.
• Manage defects and track performance metrics using Jira within an agile framework.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of overall IT experience, including 5+ years specifically as a performance engineer.
• Hands-on expertise with LoadRunner, WebLoad, or JMeter.
• Proficiency in monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, New Relic, Splunk, Extrahop, vSphere, or Solarwinds Orion.
• Strong experience with Apache/Tomcat web servers and JBoss application server (v 7.x).
• Detailed knowledge of Oracle relational databases and complex SQL querying.
• Proven ability to debug Java/J2EE applications and database performance issues.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Splunk for log analysis and AppDynamics for deep application monitoring.
• Experience with cloud-based application architectures.
