Description

You will own performance engineering for J2EE and cloud-based applications, ensuring scalability and stability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Define and analyze performance requirements for J2EE and cloud applications.
• Develop, execute, and analyze load tests using tools like LoadRunner, WebLoad, or JMeter.
• Debug application and database performance bottlenecks in Apache/Tomcat, JBoss, and Oracle environments.
• Manage defects and track issues using Jira within agile workflows.
• Monitor system health and performance metrics using AppDynamics, New Relic, Splunk, or similar tools.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of overall IT experience, including 5+ years specifically as a performance engineer.
• Hands-on expertise with LoadRunner, WebLoad, or JMeter.
• Strong experience with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, New Relic, Splunk, Extrahop, vSphere, or Solarwinds Orion.
• Detailed knowledge of relational databases, specifically Oracle and complex SQL queries.
• Proficiency with Apache/Tomcat web servers and JBoss application server (v 7.x).
• Experience with Jira for defect and issue management.
• Ability to debug application and database performance issues effectively.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud-based application stacks.
