We are looking for a Senior Consultant who can independently build, harden, and maintain a GitOps-based delivery platform on Kubernetes, with Artifactory as the governed artifact source and ArgoCD as the declarative delivery engine. The role is hands-on and requires someone who can quickly get up to speed in an existing environment, make their own decisions, and leave behind documentation and knowledge - not dependencies.

Job Responsibilities:
 

• Primary responsibility: Set up and manage Artifactory as a governed artifact source, including permissions and supply chain scanning;
• Secondary responsibility: Build, harden, and maintain GitOps-based delivery workflows targeting Kubernetes, including managing our Kubernetes setup;
• Troubleshoot and stabilize the platform in production;
• Document and transfer knowledge to internal teams.

Job Requirements

Core competencies (must have):

• JFrog Artifactory - Practical experience with setting up and managing Artifactory. Experience with Xray/Curation for supply chain security is a strong merit;
• Linux - Comfortable with Linux as an operations and runtime environment: file systems, permissions, processes, systemd, network troubleshooting, and logs. Used to working in the CLI and shell scripting daily, with an understanding of how containers work at the Linux level (namespaces, cgroups) for deeper troubleshooting;
• Kubernetes - Experienced hands-on operations and troubleshooting: deployments, services, ingress, RBAC, networking, resource management, Kustomize, and Helm. Azure AKS knowledge is a clear plus;
• ArgoCD - Practical experience with managing and setup Argocd;
• Git & CI/CD - Confident with Git workflows and pipelines (GitHub Actions is relevant in our environment);
• Helm and/or Kustomize - For packaging and configuration management.

Cloud platform (must have):

• Azure (primary) - AKS, Entra ID integration for RBAC/SSO, networking (VNet, private endpoints), and Workload Identity for workloads;
• AWS (strong secondary) - ECR and IAM;
• The consultant must have run ArgoCD and Artifactory in these cloud environments in practice, not just have theoretical cloud knowledge.

Strong Merits:

• IaC with Terraform - particularly important for managing infrastructure consistently across both on-prem, Azure, and AWS;
• Observability: Prometheus/Grafana;
• Secrets management (External Secrets, Vault) as well as container and image security;
• Knowledge of managing the GitHub Enterprise platform;
• Python for automation.

• Senior, self-directed, and used to consulting engagements;
• Communicates clearly with both engineers and stakeholders;
• Takes ownership and drives issues to completion without micromanagement
