Key Responsibilities
GCP infrastructure engineering
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highlyavailable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Architect and manage core GCP services, including Compute
- Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform (or
- Define and enforce landing zone standards, project/folderstructures, networking patterns, and security guardrails.
- Optimize compute, storage, and networking configurations forperformance, resilience, and cost efficiency.
DevOps and infrastructure operations
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and
- Build and manage containerized workloads and orchestration
- Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, and observabilitypractices across infrastructure and application layers.
- Drive automation of manual operational tasks, including
- Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, andhigh-availability strategies for critical infrastructure and workloads.
- Support release management, deployment strategies (blue/green,canary, rolling), and rollback procedures.
Migration delivery
- Lead or support hands-on execution of infrastructure and
- Assess source environments, dependencies, and workloads todefine migration approach, sequencing, and wave planning.
- Build and execute migration runbooks, cutover plans, rollbackprocedures, and validation/testing checklists.
- Coordinate dual-running, data/application cutover, anddecommissioning activities with minimal disruption to production services.
- Identify and remediate migration-related issues, includingperformance regressions, configuration drift, and compatibility gaps.
- Partner with architecture and application teams to validatepost-migration stability, performance, and cost targets.
Collaboration and continuous improvement
- Partner with Architecture, Security, Platform, and Product
- Create and maintain runbooks, standard operating procedures,
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead root-cause analysisfor infrastructure incidents.
- Mentor junior engineers on DevOps practices, automationstandards, and cloud infrastructure design.
- Continuously evaluate and introduce tooling, automation, andprocess improvements to increase reliability and delivery velocity.
