Description

You will design, build, and modernize AWS-native cloud infrastructure and big data platforms.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain scalable, reusable cloud platforms using AWS services including EMR, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows for automated infrastructure and service deployments.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code templates using CloudFormation, with Terraform as a strong plus.
• Modernize legacy platform patterns by evaluating and integrating modern big data technologies like Athena and Trino.
• Build automation and orchestration tooling using Python to enhance platform reliability and operational efficiency.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of recent, consistent platform engineering experience with demonstrated ownership of platform design.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS core services: S3, EMR, RDS, and CloudWatch.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, specifically authoring and maintaining CloudFormation templates.
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure management.
• Strong Python development skills for automation, orchestration, and platform tooling.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
• Ability to articulate platform design decisions, tradeoffs, and modernization strategies.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with Athena and Trino.
• Exposure to additional AWS-native big data and analytics services.
