Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior POS Functional Architect / Lead Functional Analyst with 10+ years of expertise in retail POS systems, enterprise integrations, and functional solution design. The ideal candidate will lead POS initiatives, drive strategic solutions, collaborate with business and IT stakeholders, and mentor junior analysts in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead functional analysis and solution design for enterprise POS initiatives.
Drive POS architecture vision, roadmap planning, and technology recommendations.
Gather, analyze, and prioritize business and system requirements.
Design scalable POS solutions integrating payment gateways, inventory, CRM, and ERP systems.
Collaborate with retail operations, merchandising, IT, and executive stakeholders.
Ensure successful delivery, testing, deployment, and support of POS solutions.
Provide documentation including F-Specs, business process flows, user stories, and deployment procedures.
Lead root cause analysis, issue resolution, and continuous improvement efforts.
Mentor and guide junior and senior analysts on POS best practices.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in POS systems and retail operations.
Strong knowledge of payment processing, POS integrations, transactional/master data, and retail workflows.
Experience with Business Rules Framework, patches, upgrades, and support packs.
Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure in dynamic environments.
Preferred Skills
Experience with enterprise retail transformation programs.
Agile delivery and functional architecture expertise.
