Description

You will manage and maintain high-volume, multi-terabyte PostgreSQL database infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot daily database performance issues, including load averages, locks, and long-running SQL queries.
• Execute database upgrades across minor and major versions.
• Implement and manage database replication and point-in-time recovery processes.
• Perform routine PostgreSQL maintenance tasks and manage backups/restores.
• Build and support large database infrastructure for high-volume transaction loads.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience administering multi-terabyte databases.
• Expert knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture and configuration parameters.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL replication tools (e.g., Repmgr, pgpool, efm).
• Experience deploying PostgreSQL in cloud environments (AWS RDS/EC2 or GCP).
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL operations, including system table usage and performance tuning.
• Strong background in building large database infrastructure.
• Familiarity with high-availability setups.
• Ability to independently learn new technologies.
