Manage wholesale power supply, load management, and renewable resources while ensuring compliance with electrical and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage wholesale power supply, load management, and distributed generation resources.
• Enforce Distributed Generation and Interconnection Standards by reviewing engineering specifications.
• Ensure compliance with NESC, NFPA, EPA, NCDEQ, and NERC Reliability Standards.
• Provide engineering support for telemetry systems, diesel generators, and metering.
• Coordinate outages and manage municipal distribution studies and expansion planning.

Required Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or Mechanical).
• 5+ years of experience in an electrical utility environment or equivalent.
• Deep knowledge of NESC and NFPA codes.
• Understanding of NERC Reliability Standards.
• Experience managing distributed generation and renewable resources.
• Ability to work independently in field locations with remote guidance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder coordination.

Preferred Skills

• Experience liaising with power companies on interconnections, depreciation, and leased facility charges.
• Participation in a 24/5 on-call rotation every 6 weeks to address system conditions and emergencies.
