Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Establish best practices for ad serving engineering, focusing on system reliability, performance metrics, quality assurance, and operational readiness.
  • Provide principal-level technical leadership across complex initiatives, including request pathways, decision engines, forecasting, and delivery mechanics.
  • Partner with Product and Architecture to define feature feasibility, risk mitigation, and long-term service maintainability.
  • Drive cost-efficiency, observability improvements, and architectural simplicity while preventing technical debt in a strict-SLO environment.
  • Lead org-wide alignment by defining transparent ownership models, SLAs, and integration patterns across adjacent domains.

Skills Required:

  • 12+ years of relevant experience (or 10+ years with a Master's, or 8+ years with a PhD)
  • Node.js and modern JavaScript backend development (Node, microservices, API/service development)
  • AWS cloud engineering experience for scalable, reliable distributed systems
  • Java and Spring Boot for building and operating backend services
  • React-based frontend experience for end-to-end product delivery and integration

Good to Have:

  • Express.js, TypeScript, and Next.js experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience
