Description

You will establish engineering best practices for ad serving, focusing on system reliability, performance, and operational readiness. You will provide principal-level technical leadership across complex initiatives including request pathways, decision engines, and forecasting.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product and Architecture to define feature feasibility, risk mitigation, and long-term service maintainability.
• Drive cost-efficiency, observability improvements, and architectural simplicity while preventing technical debt in a strict-SLO environment.
• Lead org-wide alignment by defining transparent ownership models, SLAs, and integration patterns across adjacent domains.
• Build and operate scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js.
• Deliver end-to-end product features using React-based frontend technologies.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of relevant experience (or 10+ years with a Master's, or 8+ years with a PhD).
• Node.js and modern JavaScript backend development, including microservices and API/service development.
• AWS cloud engineering experience for scalable, reliable distributed systems.
• Java and Spring Boot for building and operating backend services.
• React-based frontend experience for end-to-end product delivery and integration.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Express.js, TypeScript, and Next.js experience.
