Description

You will evolve software strategy across computing segments including data centre, automotive, mobile, robotics, networking, and IoT. You analyze new Arm architecture and IP features to determine impact on existing software components and tools. You drive adoption of new features and trends in core processing, accelerators, and system hardware. You deliver software improvements to major open-source projects, such as Linux, to serve as industry references. You collaborate with OS, OEM, and Silicon Partners to drive standards that enable optimization and differentiation.

Responsibilities

• Profile system performance and innovate methods to improve security, reliability, and performance.
• Lead validation of functionality, security, and safety for new software paradigms on reference hardware.
• Analyze new Arm architecture and IP features to determine impact on existing software components.
• Deliver software improvements to major open-source projects, such as Linux.
• Collaborate with OS, OEM, and Silicon Partners to drive standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in complex software lifecycles, moving products from concept to production and maintenance.
• Authoritative knowledge of C or C++ development with proficiency in optimizing applications, workloads, and compilers.
• Deep understanding of Arm-based computer architecture and the range of SoCs and devices using Arm hardware IP.
• Demonstrable low-level OS or device driver development and integration experience.
• Experience with software profiling, instrumentation, and optimization for workloads like AI stacks, run-time compilers, and multimedia processing.
• Strong understanding of complex multi-component computing systems and rigorous software testing design.
• University degree in a numerate subject or equivalent meaningful experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Linux distributions, Cloud/Edge applications, and networking software.
• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence software stacks, algorithms, and tooling.
• Experience with Android, ChromeOS, or Windows software and systems.
