Description

Lead cross-functional teams to manage complex IT projects within scope, budget, and regulatory standards.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams and manage critical paths, tasks, milestones, and acceptance criteria.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure alignment with State and Federal standards.
• Act as the primary liaison between State agencies, contractors, and federal partners.
• Track sprint progress and project dependencies using Agile tools.
• Provide executive-level status reports and updates to the PMO Director and stakeholders.

Required Skills

• Minimum 10 years of experience in project management.
• Minimum 8 years managing complex IT development projects.
• Minimum 5 years applying PMBoK methodologies and managing associated artifacts.
• Proven leadership on at least 3 successful projects involving organizational change management.
• Deep understanding of Agile development lifecycles, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release management.
• Hands-on experience with Agile Scrum and SAFe frameworks.
• Proficiency with JIRA and VersionOne.
• PMP certification is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s degree.
• Prior experience supporting Maryland Benefits programs.
