Description

Lead the strategic direction and operations for the Center of Excellence team, managing resources and ensuring compliance with VDOT and VITA procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the CoE team, assigning resources to deliverables and supporting process execution.
• Oversee program work to ensure consistent quality and adherence to VDOT and VITA standards.
• Develop project management processes, tools, templates, and training based on PMBOK and established methodologies.
• Guide project managers in handling risks, organizational change, critical paths, schedules, and budgets.
• Identify gaps and trends to implement process improvements and mature project management frameworks.

Required Skills

• 15 years of combined experience with Scrum, Agile, SAFe, Product Line, and Waterfall methodologies.
• 15 years of experience managing complex projects with multiple workstreams and high organizational change.
• 10 years of experience leading and managing direct reports.
• Expertise in Microsoft Project Online (POL) and Microsoft Project Professional.
• Proficiency with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Planner, and Power BI.
• Deep knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, SAFe, and Kanban frameworks.
• Ability to program and create custom reports using IT application standard tools.
• Strong understanding of project portfolio and lifecycle management processes.
• PMP certification.

Preferred Skills

• VITA Project Manager Certification.
