Description

You will own database and system support for Progress environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, collect, and report on system capacity and performance statistics.
• Perform diagnostics, testing, and troubleshooting of software, OS, and database issues.
• Plan and execute database configuration, maintenance, upgrade, and patching routines.
• Execute manual switchovers to redundant system or database components during failure events.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in technical support covering database administration and operations.
• Proficiency in Progress 4GL OpenEdge.
• Expertise in Database Administration tasks including monitoring, maintenance, and capacity planning.
• Experience with incident and problem troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Technical Support procedures.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering).
