Description

You will lead technical design and product protection strategies for energy management and switchgear within the Smart Power division.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design, approve deliverables, and review project documents for quality assurance.
• Solve complex design problems and define technical priorities to ensure engineering excellence.
• Collaborate with customers to shape solutions and implement secure-by-design principles.
• Coach and mentor colleagues on translating conceptual designs into engineering documentation.
• Coordinate with supply chain, manufacturing, and testing functions to ensure correct design implementation.

Required Skills

• 8 years of experience in design engineering.
• Expertise in Pro-E and Creo for electrical distribution equipment design.
• Working knowledge of the Windchill change management process.
• Proficiency in Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
• Experience solving manufacturing issues for the Mebane plant.
• Ability to support post-sales services teams in North America.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering from an accredited institution.
