Description

You lead the design, development, and release of power distribution products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Drive projects through the Phase Gate development process from concept to production launch.
• Develop technical specifications, system architectures, and component selections for power distribution units.
• Perform electrical and mechanical design analysis, including load calculations, thermal management, and protection coordination.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product execution.
• Support manufacturing and supply chain teams with design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) considerations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in product development, focused on power distribution or electrical enclosures.
• Strong understanding of electrical power distribution principles (AC/DC power, circuit protection, metering).
• Familiarity with Phase Gate or Stage-Gate product development processes.
• Experience with CAD software, specifically SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with electrical design tools like EPlan or Altium.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of industry standards including UL, NEC, NFPA, and IEC.
