Description

You will lead large, complex technology projects through all stages of the project life cycle in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and implement complex projects to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and with desired functionality.
• Manage multiple simultaneous projects, identifying dependencies, critical paths, and potential resource alignment issues.
• Define project scopes, capture requirements, and create executable work plans that adapt to changing needs.
• Conduct monthly risk assessments to identify and mitigate project risks.
• Communicate project status, performance metrics, and executive-level updates to the Portfolio Management Office and ITS management.

Required Skills

• Minimum 7 years of related experience in project management.
• Proficiency in Project Management practices, principles, and tools.
• Experience with Agile or PMP methodologies.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevSecOps environments.
• Broad knowledge of current information technology systems, infrastructures, and technologies.
• Experience managing IT infrastructure projects, such as server, network, security, or telecommunications implementations.
• Ability to apply process standards and navigate organizational and process structures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with all levels of the organization.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.

Preferred Skills

• PMI-ACP or PMP Certification.
• 5+ years of experience specifically in Information Technology.
• Experience with K-12 education project work.
