You will oversee the implementation and integration of third-party applications within an Epic EHR implementation program.
Responsibilities
Coordinate activities with the EHR Program Director, PMO Manager, and Application Manager to ensure project alignment.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and artifacts following established IT project management methodologies.
Manage project scope, budgets, and quality while identifying, mitigating, and escalating risks and issues.
Serve as a liaison between organizational stakeholders, vendor staff, and Epic implementation teams to ensure business needs are met.
Guide workflow design, system build, and testing processes for various vendor applications.
Develop business cases for governance approval and provide regular status reports to executive management.
Required Skills
5+ years of experience managing Health Information Technology (HIT) projects, specifically clinical information systems and healthcare application interoperability.
In-depth knowledge of IT project management, including budgeting, costing, QA methodologies, processes, and standards.
Proven experience with Epic implementation or operations support.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project and MS SharePoint.
Strong understanding of PMI standards for project management.
Experience with IT procurement and vendor/contract management.
Ability to manage complex stakeholder communications across state and client offices.
Strong conflict resolution, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
Practical experience working with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
