Description

You will oversee the implementation and integration of third-party applications within an Epic EHR implementation program.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities with the EHR Program Director, PMO Manager, and Application Manager to ensure project alignment.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and artifacts following established IT project management methodologies.
• Manage project scope, budgets, and quality while identifying, mitigating, and escalating risks and issues.
• Serve as a liaison between organizational stakeholders, vendor staff, and Epic implementation teams to ensure business needs are met.
• Guide workflow design, system build, and testing processes for various vendor applications.
• Develop business cases for governance approval and provide regular status reports to executive management.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience managing Health Information Technology (HIT) projects, specifically clinical information systems and healthcare application interoperability.
• In-depth knowledge of IT project management, including budgeting, costing, QA methodologies, processes, and standards.
• Proven experience with Epic implementation or operations support.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and MS SharePoint.
• Strong understanding of PMI standards for project management.
• Experience with IT procurement and vendor/contract management.
• Ability to manage complex stakeholder communications across state and client offices.
• Strong conflict resolution, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Practical experience working with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
