Description

You will lead large, complex IT projects from initiation through completion within California State government environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and deliverables using Microsoft Project.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure adherence to California state project approval processes, including PAL (Project Approval Lifecycle).
• Monitor project performance, risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Provide regular status updates and executive-level reporting to drive alignment with organizational goals.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of progressive experience in project management.
• 4+ years of experience as a Senior Project Manager on large, complex IT projects.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required.
• 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Project for complex scheduling and planning.
• Proven experience managing at least three IT projects through successful California PAL approval (each valued at $10M+).
• Extensive experience working within California State government environments.
