Description

You will drive complex IT project delivery from initiation through operational transition.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vendors, consultants, and internal IT/business staff on IT projects and procurement.
• Oversee the development of proposals, statements of work, requirements, and RFP responses.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, including executive management, sponsors, and vendors.
• Track and communicate project progress regarding schedule, cost, and risk to all stakeholders.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 10 years managing large projects.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Expert knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project management principles, including blending them when necessary.
• Strong experience managing cloud-hosted SaaS implementation projects.
• Proficiency in Project Management tools including Microsoft Project and Visio.
• Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle models.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to simplify complex issues.
• Ability to define and balance competing demands for quality, scope, schedule, and cost.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Project Management Office methodologies and practices.
• Experience with the core Commonwealth IT procurement processes (RFP, VITA Statewide Contract, and CAI SOW).
