Description

You will lead the execution and delivery of complex IT projects.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vendors, consultants, VDOT IT, and business staff on IT project execution and procurement.
• Oversee the development of proposals, statements of work, requirements, and RFP responses.
• Manage working relationships across executive management, business management, vendors, and sponsors.
• Drive project delivery through the lifecycle, managing scope, schedule, risk, and resource allocation.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 10 years managing large projects.
• Exceptional knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project management principles and practices.
• Strong experience in developing and managing cloud-hosted SaaS implementation projects.
• Proficiency in Project Management tools including Microsoft Project and Visio.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making capabilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for complex audiences.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle models.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Project Management Office methodologies and practices.
• Experience with the core Commonwealth IT procurement processes (RFP, VITA Statewide Contract, and CAI SOW).
