Description

You will lead operational and technology project release management for a 10-member Business Intelligence team while driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manage internal and external projects, developing schedules, resources, scope, risk, and communication plans.
• Oversee bi-weekly and hot-fix release management cycles, including planning, prioritization, and backlog grooming.
• Partner with the PMO, stakeholders, vendors, and union representatives to align deliverables with strategic goals.
• Develop IT best practice standards for Agile and Waterfall methodologies, including business and technical requirement documentation.
• Monitor team workload and provide regular status updates to the IT Manager to facilitate timely escalations.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience as a senior project manager, including 2-4 years in oversight and mentorship roles.
• PMP Certification or a Certificate in Project Management.
• Experience operating within the Agile framework using Atlassian Jira and/or ServiceNow.
• Proven ability to facilitate business effort coordination and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Experience developing technical requirements and performing functional testing.
• Strong background in managing release cycles and recurring operational tasks.
• Ability to document new standards, processes, and templates for future project use.

Preferred Skills

• T-SQL proficiency.
• Experience with cloud migration, IT Enterprise Architecture, and software/application inventory management.
