Description

You will design and deploy scalable cloud-native applications using Python on AWS, leading migration initiatives from on-premise to serverless architectures.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications using Python and AWS services including Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, ECS/EKS, and API Gateway.
• Lead cloud migration initiatives, modernizing legacy Java applications and moving on-premise workloads to AWS.
• Build RESTful APIs and microservices, ensuring robust object-oriented design and performance optimization.
• Automate deployments through CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with architects and stakeholders to define technical requirements.

Required Skills

• 14+ years of overall IT experience with 5+ years of hands-on Python development.
• Strong expertise in AWS serverless and cloud-native services: Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Experience building cloud-native applications and migrating from on-premise to AWS.
• Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipeline automation.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and object-oriented design.
• Hands-on experience with legacy application modernization, including prior Java experience.
• Strong SQL and database design skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• AWS Certifications.
• Data Lake, ETL, or large-scale data processing experience.
