Description

Develop and maintain Python applications for an onsite contract in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

• Build Python applications using async/await patterns.
• Extend FastAPI APIs and SQLAlchemy ORM structures.
• Implement message queues, caching mechanisms, and domain logic.
• Maintain existing Ansible configuration setups.
• Write pytest tests and perform Python code reviews.

Required Skills

• 11+ years of experience in Python application development.
• Proficiency with async/await syntax.
• Experience extending FastAPI applications.
• Experience extending SQLAlchemy ORM.
• Hands-on SQL implementation experience.
• Ability to implement queues and caching.
• Experience managing process and domain logic.
• Competency with Ansible for configuration management.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests using pytest.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MCP transition to operations.
• Knowledge of document management systems such as D2, iPIMS, or EB.
