Description

You will design, develop, and maintain backend services for a fintech application.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize scalable database schemas and data models using PostgreSQL.
• Develop RESTful APIs to support frontend and mobile app integrations.
• Implement and enhance backend features using the Django framework.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues while refactoring code for performance.
• Mentor junior developers through code reviews and technical guidance.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Python development.
• Proficiency in the Django backend framework and PostgreSQL database.
• Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Experience in backend development for mobile applications.
• Strong experience working in Agile environments, including Scrum practices.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills for optimizing and refactoring code.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of AWS services and experience in cloud deployment.
• Experience with Redis, Celery, or containerisation.
