Description

You will design and build APIs to support external applications within a Workday environment. You will own the release pipeline, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide technical mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Design and code APIs for future-state ancillary system use.
• Collaborate with development teams using Scrum Agile workflows, including daily standups and sprint reviews.
• Coordinate with Functional Business Analysts and testing leads to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to fellow developers regarding AWS data solutions.

Required Skills

• 3–5 years of Python development experience.
• 3 years of AWS experience.
• Minimum 2 years of API building experience.
• Experience with database design, setup, and maintenance.
• Proficiency with Python, AWS, Java, or .NET.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS services including S3, Lambda, ECS, and Athena.
• Knowledge of Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and Apigee API management.
• Workday implementation experience or experience in Higher Ed institutions.
