Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer to design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications, RESTful APIs, data-processing workflows, and AI-enabled solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, Django, SQL, and application development, along with experience in cloud environments, system architecture, and production-ready software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful JSON APIs using FastAPI or Django.
• Own end-to-end implementation of application features and technical deliverables.
• Contribute to application architecture, system integrations, and relational data modelling.
• Develop and manage database schema migrations and ORM models.
• Build AI-powered analysis, inference, chatbot, and orchestration workflows.
• Develop data-processing and ETL workflows using pandas, Polars, or distributed-computing technologies.
• Optimize Python code execution, SQL queries, and database performance.
• Implement asynchronous programming, concurrency, background processing, and distributed workloads.
• Integrate applications with PostgreSQL, Azure Storage, and other application services.
• Implement OAuth 2.0 authentication and contribute to authorization and access-control mechanisms.
• Write type-annotated, maintainable, and well-tested Python code using pytest.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and establish coding best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues using logs, metrics, traces, and monitoring tools.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and reliable release processes.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams in an Agile-Scrum environment.
• Follow Git-based development workflows and ensure secure handling of confidential *** data.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Python development.
• Professional experience building APIs using FastAPI and/or Django.
• Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization and performance tuning.
• Experience with application architecture, relational data modelling, and database schema migrations.
• Knowledge of Python performance optimization, asynchronous programming, concurrency, and background processing.
• Experience with pandas, Polars, or similar dataframe technologies and ETL workflows.
• Professional experience implementing OAuth 2.0 authentication.
• Strong automated testing experience using pytest and code-coverage practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and pull-request-based development.
• Proficiency in Python type annotations, documentation, and dependency management.
• Strong troubleshooting, code-review, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PostgreSQL, including the pgvector extension.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including Azure App Service, Azure Container Apps, Azure Storage, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, and Azure Key Vault.
• Experience with Docker, containerized applications, and worker processes.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and role-based access control.
• Experience with Apache Spark, Microsoft Fabric, or Azure Databricks.
• Experience developing AI-enabled applications, chatbots, vector search, and AI orchestration workflows.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools.
• Domain knowledge in accounting, finance, or advisory services
