Description

Build and maintain scalable middle-layer services and RESTful APIs for enterprise financial reporting platforms.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, test, and deploy scalable software solutions and shared services components.
• Build and maintain RESTful API-based services for web interface applications.
• Develop high-performance calculations to maintain speed across large data sets.
• Write and automate comprehensive tests, including unit, functional, performance, and acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with DevOps, UI, and other IT groups to manage the full lifecycle from design to CI/CD deployment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Python Developer.
• Proficiency with Python and web frameworks including Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience building RESTful web services in a professional environment.
• Strong background in data manipulation using NumPy and pandas.
• Experience with Relational Databases.
• Testing expertise using Pytest, Unittest, Monkey patch, or pytest-mockito.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Gradle, Git, Conda, pip, Gitlab, or Jira.
• Working knowledge of Linux and Docker.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or a quantitative discipline.
• Prior experience working within financial services companies.
