Description

You will own the automation of asset reconciliation by building Python scripts that extract data from images and compare it against inventory records.

Responsibilities

• Develop Python 3.x scripts to process cropped JPG images and extract Asset IDs using OCR.
• Implement logic to correct OCR errors caused by image artifacts and misidentified characters.
• Compare extracted data against inventory lists and generate structured reports in CSV or Power BI.
• Automate the reconciliation of real-world asset changes with existing inventory data.
• Manage code repositories and maintain Python virtual environments for module installation.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience with Python 3.x, including scripting and code repository management.
• Strong experience in data processing, including organizing, sorting, and comparing datasets.
• Proficiency with OCR development to process and analyze text from images.
• Hands-on experience with containers and automation tools, specifically Podman and Docker.
• Ability to write scripts for Linux and Windows, including PowerShell.
• Familiarity with Power Automate for workflow automation.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate education.
