Build and optimize data-driven systems and machine learning initiatives in Toronto.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production-ready Python and JavaScript code to process, sanitize, and enrich IT Risk Data.
• Design and optimize back-end systems using MS SQL Server and Snowflake for ETL processes.
• Build and enhance API services to support business requirements.
• Analyze large datasets to drive business decisions and research-based machine learning initiatives.
• Collaborate with business users to solve technical challenges and provide effort estimates for weekly sprints.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Expert-level Python programming for production environments.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Java.
• Deep knowledge of MS SQL, SQL Server, and Snowflake.
• Experience with data model design, profiling, cleaning, and mining.
• Practical understanding of machine learning and AI applications.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies.
• Strong technical documentation and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ETL processes and big data technologies like Apache Spark.
• Familiarity with BI tools including Tableau, Power BI, or Kibana.
• Background in financial services or IT Risk.
