Description

You will build and own Django-based backend services from design through deployment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy backend services using Django and Django REST Framework.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leads to shape the EdTech platform architecture.
• Iterate quickly based on real classroom feedback and user data.
• Influence performance optimization and developer experience across the team.
• Own technical workstreams and lead technical decisions in a product environment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of recent, commercial experience with Django and Django REST Framework.
• Solid Python engineering skills, including writing tests, maintaining code quality, and conducting reviews.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and Docker.
• Familiarity with AWS services.

Preferred Skills

• Practical experience with LangChain for integrating LLM services.
• Exposure to RAG concepts, including indexing and retrieval.
