Description

You will refactor prototype financial and scientific models into production-quality code for Carbon Capture and Sequestration systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Refactor prototype financial and scientific models into production-quality code alongside Data Scientists and Computational Engineers.
• Architect code changes to enhance performance, maintainability, or extensibility.
• Establish software engineering best practices, including coding standards and code reviews.
• Improve data interfaces between models and the data layer alongside the data team.
• Lead the organization and application of software engineering standards to the modeling codebase.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of meaningful Python project experience involving complex, modular, or object-oriented code.
• Proficiency with pandas and numpy, including performance optimization.
• Experience integrating testing frameworks (e.g., pytest), writing unit tests, and organizing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working in Agile teams with strong technical communication and collaboration skills.
• Databricks experience.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
• Experience collaborating directly with Data Scientists.
