Role description
Position Overview 
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join 
our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Java development and test 
automation, paired with modern expertise in TypeScript, Playwright, and AI-driven 
workflows. You will be responsible for driving automation strategies, maintaining CI/CD 
pipelines, and designing utility tools to streamline our retail e-commerce applications. 
Key Responsibilities 
• Automation Framework Development: Execute, fix, and expand scripts within an 
in-house BDD framework model, as well as build modern web automation suites 
using Playwright with TypeScript. 
• API & Integration Testing: Design and execute robust API testing strategies using 
Rest Assured (Java/Spring Boot), Rest Template, and Postman. 
• Tooling & Utility Creation: Build custom internal utility tools and basic UIs utilizing 
HTML and Thyme leaf. 
• CI/CD & DevOps Orchestration: Set up build plans, configure scheduled triggers, 
and manage pipelines using Bamboo and Jenkins. Orchestrate advanced 
workflows using Argo Workflows. 
• Code Governance: Actively perform code reviews, check-ins, rebases, and branch 
management within GIT repositories. 
• Observability & Debugging: Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot system behavior 
and application logs using Grafana Logs. 
• AI Collaboration: Leverage AI agents and Model Context Protocol (MCP) server 
knowledge to optimize testing workflows and engineering efficiency. 
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with developers, product 
managers, and cross-functional teams across onsite and offshore locations to 
deliver high-quality software.

Skills
Experience & Domain Knowledge 
• Experience: Minimum 8 years of total QA experience, with dedicated strictly to 
automation engineering. 
• Retail Domain Expertise: Deep, end-to-end understanding of the retail ecosystem 
and overall retail processes. Direct experience working on stacks like ATG 
Ecommerce, Customer Service Portals, and Microservices applications. 
Core Technical Stack 
• Languages & Back-End: Strong Java development background with deep 
experience in Spring Boot and Microservices architecture. 
• Modern Web Automation: Hands-on experience writing automation suites in 
TypeScript using Playwright. 
• Testing Frameworks: Expert-level knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber, 
JBehave), TestNG, and Rest Assured. 
• CI/CD & Cloud Workflows: Deep knowledge of CI/CD tools, specifically 
configuring Bamboo and Jenkins, alongside containerized orchestration via Argo 
Workflows. 
• Tools & Version Control: Advanced proficiency in GIT, Postman, and Grafana 
Logs. 
Next-Gen Tech & Soft Skills 
• AI Tools: Familiarity or practical experience working alongside AI agents and 
understanding MCP (Model Context Protocol) server environments. 
• UI Basics: Foundational knowledge of HTML and Thymeleaf for creating basic 
utility UI tools. 
• Communication: Very strong communication skills (written and verbal), with a 
proven track record of collaborating across global teams
