Key Responsibilities
· Functional Testing
· Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
•Create comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
•Perform Functional, Integration, System, End-to-End, Regression, Smoke, and UAT testing.
•Validate application workflows and business rules across web and API layers.
•Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers to clarify requirements and identify gaps.
· Automation Testing
· Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks.
•Build and execute automated test suites using:
o Playwright
oSelenium WebDriver
oJavaScript / TypeScript
•Develop scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation scripts.
•Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
•Analyze automation results and troubleshoot failures.
· API Testing & API Automation
· Create and execute API test cases using Postman.
•Validate REST APIs, request/response payloads, status codes, headers, and authentication mechanisms.
•Develop API automation suites using JavaScript.
•Perform contract and integration testing for APIs.
•Validate API performance and error handling.
· Database Testing
· Write and execute complex SQL queries for backend validation.
•Verify data integrity, data transformation, and business rules.
•Validate API-to-database and UI-to-database data consistency.
•Perform data reconciliation and root cause analysis.
· Defect Management
· Identify, document, and track defects using standard defect management tools.
•Perform root cause analysis of recurring issues.
•Work closely with development teams to ensure timely defect resolution.
· Agile Participation
· Participate in Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Grooming, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
•Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
•Mentor junior QA engineers and promote testing best practices
