Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end QA activities, including test planning, test design, execution, defect tracking, and release validation. Create and maintain Master Test Plans, test strategies, test scenarios, detailed test cases, and Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs). Perform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and end-to-end testing. Analyze business requirements, product specifications, and ambiguous requirements to develop comprehensive test coverage. Conduct API testing using Postman and validate backend data using SQL queries. Perform cross-browser, cross-device, and compatibility testing across web, Android, iOS, and Smart TV platforms. Manage defects, prioritize issues based on severity and business impact, and coordinate with development teams for resolution. Utilize JIRA, X-Ray, Azure DevOps, TestRail, and other QA tools for test management, execution tracking, and defect reporting. Apply foundational Playwright knowledge to understand automation frameworks and support the identification of repetitive test scenarios suitable for automation. Lead and mentor QA team members, coordinate testing activities, and ensure timely delivery of quality releases. Participate in Agile ceremonies, requirement discussions, client meetings, sprint demonstrations, and knowledge transfer sessions. Prepare QA status reports, communicate testing progress and risks, and support release and deployment activities. Mandatory Skills 8–9 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Manual Testing. Strong expertise in Functional, Integration, System, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, and Exploratory Testing. Experience in test planning, test case design, test execution, and defect lifecycle management. Proficiency in JIRA and X-Ray or equivalent test management tools. Working knowledge of API testing using Postman. SQL knowledge for database validation and backend testing. Foundational knowledge of Playwright and an understanding of test automation concepts. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience leading QA teams, mentoring testers, or coordinating testing deliverables. Preferred Skills Experience with Azure DevOps, TestRail, BrowserStack, Redmine, and Confluence. Exposure to web, mobile, and Smart TV application testing. Experience in OTT/streaming, hospitality, e-commerce, banking, CMS, or data migration projects. Experience in CMS migration testing, content validation, and backend/frontend integration. Knowledge of STLC, RTM, browser compatibility, and end-to-end business workflow validation. Exposure to QA process improvement and gradual migration from manual to automated testing. Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a hands-on QA professional with strong manual testing fundamentals, experience in test leadership, excellent test documentation skills, and the ability to manage complex testing activities independently. Foundational Playwright knowledge and an interest in supporting automation initiatives are desirable; advanced automation development experience is not a core requirement for this role
